Sir Herbert Samuel, first High Commissioner of Palestine, declared in a broadcast address from London last night in commenting on the Royal Commission inquiry: “I cannot believe that the upbuilding of the national home will be stopped.”

In an appeal for support of settlement of Jews in Palestine on a United Palestine Appeal Passover program, he asserted: “We have the right to expect that the doors of the Land of Promise will not be closed. Persecuted refugees, not only German Jews, need asylum there.”
