Alexander Kinderman, 49-year-old caretaker of the West End Synagogue, was held for grand jury on a charge of arson yesterday after Bellevue Hospital officials testified in Felony Court that he had been found sane. Kinderman is accused of setting three fires in the synagogue, the last of which caused damage estimated at over $200,000. He denies any connection with the third fire, but admits setting the first two.
