Representatives of many Jewish organizations attended a reception yesterday in the Yeshurun Synagogue for Dr. Isaac Herzog, former chief rabbi of Ireland, arriving here to take up his duties as chief rabbi of Palestine.
Rabbi Herzog joined Menachem M. Ussishkin, world president of the Jewish National Fund, in urging Jews to return to Hebron and other places abandoned during last year’s outbreaks.
