MATTATHIAS POLIAKEWICZ, HEBREW POET KNOWN WIDELY UNDER HIS PSEUDONYM, “SHOHAM,” DIED HERE TODAY AT THE AGE OF 44. HE WAS THE WINNER OF THE FIRST PRIZE IN A HEBREW LITERATURE CONTEST CONDUCTED BY THE CITY OF TEL AVIV, PALESTINE.
