Hitler Introduces Anti-semitic Legislation in Upper Silesia

CHANCELLOR HITLER HAS CARRIED OUT A SERIES OF ANTI-SEMITIC MOVES IN UPPER SILESIA WHERE JEWISH RESIDENTS FORMERLY WERE PROTECTED BY THE GERMAN-POLISH CONVENTION OF MAY 15, 1922.

THE CONVENTION EXPIRES JULY 15 AND THE FUEHRER SIGNED A LAW EFFECTIVE ON THAT DATE REMOVING ALL JEWISH OFFICIALS FROM OFFICE ON NEXT AUG. 31. OFFICIALS HAVING ONE JEWISH PARENT WILL BE PERMITTED TO RETAIN THEIR POSTS UNTIL NEXT DEC. 31. ALL JEWISH NOTARY PUBLICS ARE REMOVED FROM OFFICE AS WELL AS ALL JEWS ADMINISTRATING PROPERTY FOR OTHER PERSONS. LICENSES ISSUED TO JEWISH PHYSICIANS, DENTISTS, VETERINARIANS AND PHARMACISTS SINCE JAN. 30, 1933, ARE CANCELLED EFFECTIVE SEPT. 1937.
