THOUSANDS OF JEWS VOWED TODAY NOT TO GIVE UP A “SINGLE STEP OF PALESTINE SOIL SANCTIFIED BY JEWISH BLOOD” AS A TOMBSTONE WAS UNVEILED IN MEMORY OF EPHRAIM CZIZIK, WHO DIED DEFENDING THE HULDA COLONY AGAINST ARAB ATTACK IN 1929.

SETTLERS CAME FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY FOR THE CEREMONY ON THE SPOT WHERE CZIZIK DIED. ISAAC BEN-ZVI, PRESIDENT OF THE JEWISH NATIONAL COUNCIL, SAID THE JEWISH COMMUNITY WAS PREPARE TO MAKE THE GREATEST SACRIFICE TO KEEP ITS SOIL. THE TOMBSTONE WAS FASHIONED BY BATHIA LISMANSKY.
