ANTI-SEMITIC TERROR STILL GRIPPED THE CITY OF BYDGOSZCZ, FORMERLY BROMBERG, POMERANIA, TODAY, AFTER AN OUTBREAK WHICH LATE REPORTS INDICATED HAD REACHED POGROM PROPORTIONS.

MORE THAN SIXTY JEWS WERE BEING TREATED FOR INJURIES, WITH SEVERAL IN SERIOUS CONDITION, ACCORDING TO THE REPORT OF AN INVESTIGATOR WHO RETURNED HERE AFTER VISITING BYDGOSZCZ TO SURVEY THE CONDITION OF THE JEWISH POPULATION FOLLOWING THE RIOTS.

WITH BANDS OF ANTI-SEMITES CONTINUING TO ROVE THE STREETS, JEWS DID NOT VENTURE TO LEAVE THEIR HOUSES. AS A RESULT THEIR BUSINESS WAS AT A STANDSTILL. JEWISH SHOPS HAD BEEN LOOTED BY THE RAIDERS.
