British Fascists Ask Parade Permit, Promising to Avoid Jewish Quarters

THE BRITISH UNION OF FASCISTS APPLIED TODAY TO THE POLICE COMMISSIONER FOR PERMISSION TO HOLD A MARCH THROUGH THE EAST END SUNDAY, OCT. 3, IN CELEBRATION OF THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE ORGANIZATION. TWO MEETINGS TO BE ADDRESSED BY SIR OSWALD MOSELY, HEAD OF THE FASCISTS, ARE PROPOSED, AT THE BEGINNING AND AT THE END OF THE PARADE. THE LETTER TO THE COMMISSIONER SAYS THE UNION CHOSE A ROUTE NEAR THE RIVER TO AVOID THE JEWISH QUARTER.
