CHARGES THAT NAZI AGENTS ARE INTIMIDATING GERMAN REFUGEES LIVING IN ENGLAND WERE MADE TODAY BY SIR WALTER CITRINE IN AN ADDRESS BEFORE THE TRADES UNION CONGRESS MEETING HERE.
SIR WALTER, WHO IS GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE CONGRESS, DECLARED THAT MANY OF THE REFUGEES WERE LIVING IN A STATE OF INTIMIDATION. HE ADDED, HOWEVER, THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO PROVE THAT THIS WAS THE WORK OF PARTICULAR AGENTS. MANY OF THE REFUGEES, SIR WALTER ASSERTED, HAVE RELATIVES IN GERMANY AND THE GERMAN GOVERNMENT IS “SCIENTIFICALLY EXPLOITING THAT POSITION.”
