EX GRATIA COMPENSATION FOR LOSS THROUGH DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OF INNOCENT PEOPLE IN LAST YEAR’S DISTURBANCES, IN ADDITION TO COMPENSATION FOR LOSS OF LIFE AND WOUNDS, WAS ANNOUNCED BY THE GOVERNMENT TODAY IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE. APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE THE END OF OCTOBER. (“EX GRATIA” MEANS BY FAVOR, OR OUTSIDE LEGAL RIGHT.)
