Peasants Try to Lynch Anti-semitic Agitators in Polish Towns

PEASANTS IN SEVERAL PROVINCIAL TOWNS WERE REPORTED TODAY TO HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LYNCH A NUMBER OF ANTI-SEMITIC AGITATORS. ONE OF THE ATTEMPTED LYNCHINGS OCCURRED IN THE TOWN OF TRUSZCZ, IN THE WARSAW PROVINCE.

ANTI-SEMITIC NEWSPAPERS COMMENTED GLEEFULLY TODAY ON REPORTS OF THE SMALL NUMBER OF NEW JEWISH STUDENTS MATRICULATED AT POLISH UNIVERSITIES. IN THE MEDICAL SCHOOL OF WARSAW UNIVERSITY, THE PAPERS REPORTED, JEWS FORM ONLY SEVEN PER CENT WHILE ONLY THREE PER CENT OF THE FRESHMEN IN THE LAW SCHOOL ARE JEWISH.
