Editors of Moscow Yiddish Daily Accused of Shielding “enemies of People”

THE EDITORS OF THE YIDDISH COMMUNIST DAILY, EMES, PROMINENT IN DENOUNCING “TROTSKYISTS” AND “SABOTEURS,” FOUND THEMSELVES INVOLVED TODAY IN CHARGES OF SHIELDING “ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE.”

DER STERN, ANOTHER YIDDISH PAPER, PUBLISHED ACCUSATIONS THAT THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF EMES HAD PROTECTED “DISTORTERS OF NATIONAL POLICY” IN THE KALININDORF REGION. THE ARTICLE IS ENTITLED, “WHY WAS EMES SILENT?”

THE ARTICLE SAID THAT THE PRESENT ASSISTANT EDITOR OF EMES, RABINOVICH, WAS FORMERLY EDITOR OF THE KALININDORF NEWSPAPER AND LATER SECOND SECRETARY OF THE KALININDORF DISTRICT COMMUNIST PARTY. “HE COOPERATED CLOSELY WITH ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE, AVRAM AND RABITCHEV, GUILTY OF BOURGEOIS NATIONALISM,” THE STERN SAID.

CALLING RABINOVICH A “MASKED NATIONALIST,” THE STERN ALSO TAXED THE EDITOR OF EMES, LITWAKOW, WITH NOT FIGHTING SUFFICIENTLY AGAINST “BOURGEOIS NATIONALIST outcasts.”
