AN ANTI-SEMITIC CAMPAIGN THROUGHOUT AUSTRIA WAS SPURRED TODAY BY AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT THE DIRECTOR OF SECURITY HAS LEGALIZED THE WEARING OF ANTI-JEWISH INSIGNIA.

THE ANTI-SEMITIC GERMAN BUND RENEWED ITS JEW-BAITING, PARTICULARLY IN THE PROVINCES, AND SENT CIRCULARS TO MEMBERS INFORMING THEM OF THE ORDER PERMITTING PUBLIC WEARING OF THE ORGANIZATION’S BADGES.

IN THE ALSENGRUND SECTION OF VIENNA, MEANWHILE, THE ARTISANS’ UNION, IN WHICH JEWS ARE ENROLLED BY COMPULSION, SENT A CIRCULAR TO MEMBERS URGING THAT THEY JOIN THE FATHERLAND FRONT AND INCLUDING A LEAFLET WHICH DENOUNCED THE JEWS AND DEMANDED THAT “CHRISTIANS BUY FROM CHRISTIANS ONLY.”
