THE MANDATES COMMISSION OPENED ITS THIRTY-THIRD REGULAR SESSION TODAY UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF PROF. WILLIAM E. RAPPARD, VICE-PRESIDENT, WHO PRESENTED A DETAILED SURVEY OF THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS COUNCIL AND ASSEMBLY.

THE COMMISSION DECIDED TO POSTPONE CONSIDERATION OF VARIOUS PETITIONS TO THE SPRING SESSION. AMONG THE PETITIONS IS ONE FROM HAJ AMIN EL HUSSEINI, FUGITIVE MUFTI OF JERUSALEM, SUBMITTED BEFORE HE WAS DEPOSED AS PRESIDENT OF THE MOSLEM SUPREME COUNCIL. THE PETITION REFERS AT LENGTH TO A SPEECH MADE BY DR. STEPHEN S. WISE AT THE RECENT ZIONIST CONGRESS IN ZURICH.
