JUNIOR HADASSAH HAS SENT $70,000 TO PALESTINE DURING THE CURRENT YEAR TO MAINTAIN ITS THREE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS AND TO AID THE JEWISH NATIONAL FUND IN PURCHASING LAND, MISS MOLLY SONDAK, OF JERSEY CITY, N.J., FUND-RAISING CHAIRMAN, ANNOUNCED TODAY AT A ROUND-TABLE CONFERENCE AT THE FOURTEENTH ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE ORGANIZATION AT THE HOTEL STATLER.

A DISCUSSION OF THE PALESTINE PARTITION QUESTION WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE AFTERNOON SESSION WITH MRS. MOSES P. EPSTEIN, PRESIDENT OF HADASSAH, AS CHIEF SPEAKER. LAST NIGHT DR. EMANUEL GAMORAN, EDUCATION DIRECTOR OF THE UNION OF AMERICAN HEBREW CONGREGATIONS, URGED JEWISH YOUTH TO DEVELOP AN APPRECIATION OF JEWISH CULTURAL AND AESTHETIC VALUES IN ORDER TO SAFEGUARD THEMSELVES AGAINST “FEELINGS OF INFERIORITY AND CORROSION OF CHARACTER.”

MRS. BENJAMIN WEINRACH, OF PHILADELPHIA, DELIVERED HER PRESIDENTIAL REPORT. SESSIONS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL SUNDAY AFTERNOON. ABOUT 500 DELEGATES ARE ATTENDING THE CONVENTION.
