Untermyer Calls Emergency Conference After Appeal from Polish Jews

MORE THAN 100 LEADERS OF THE NEW YORK JEWISH COMMUNITY HAVE ACCEPTED THE INVITATION OF SAMUEL UNTERMYER TO ATTEND A SPECIAL EMERGENCY CONFERENCE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE WALDORF ASTORIA HOTEL, TO AID THE AMERICAN COMMITTEE FOR THE RELIEF OF JEWS IN POLAND. MR. UNTERMYER SAID IN HIS LETTER OF INVITATION, HE WAS CALLING THE CONFERENCE AS THE RESULT OF AN URGENT PLEA FOR HELP CABLED LAST WEEK FROM POLAND AND SIGNED BY THIRTEEN OUTSTANDING LEADERS OF POLISH JEWRY.
