A PROPOSAL THAT JEWS OF POLAND AND RUMANIA BE ALLOWED TO SETTLE AS FARM LABORERS IN FRANCE AND FRENCH COLONIES WAS OFFERED TODAY BY GENERAL BRISSAUD DESMAILLET, ADDRESSING A MASS MEETING CONVENED BY THE COMMITTEE FOR THE DEFENSE OF JEWS OF EASTERN EUROPE TO PROTEST AGAINST ANTI-JEWISH PERSECUTIONS IN POLAND AND RUMANIA. THE MEETING WAS UNDER CHAIRMANSHIP OF SENATOR DORMANN.

DR. BOEGNER, HEAD OF THE PROTESTANT CHURCH IN FRANCE, PROTESTED VIGOROUSLY AGAINST PERSECUTION OF JEWS IN GERMANY, POLAND AND RUMANIA, DECLARING ANTI-SEMITISM CONTRADICTED THE ELEMENTARY PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIANITY.

THE LEAGUE OF HUMAN RIGHTS TODAY ADOPTED A RESOLUTION CONDEMNING INSTITUTION OF “GHETTO” BENCHES IN POLISH UNIVERSITIES AND CONGRATULATING CHRISTIAN PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS WHO OPPOSED THE MEASURE.
