PRESIDENT VARGAS WILL TOLERATE NO RACIAL PERSECUTION IN BRAZIL, THE JEWISH TELEGRAPHIC AGENCY WAS TOLD TODAY BY PROF. AARON ACKERMAN UPON HIS ARRIVAL FROM RIO DE JANEIRO TO ATTEND THE UROLOGY CONGRESS.

PROF. ACKERMAN DECLARED JEWISH IMMIGRANTS HAD NOT BEEN AND WOULD NOT BE DEPORTED FROM BRAZIL. HE ASSERTED THE VARGAS GOVERNMENT WAS FRIENDLY TO JEWS, AND CALLED ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT IT HAD JUST DISSOLVED THE ANTI-SEMITIC INTEGRALIST PARTY AMONG OTHERS.
