FIELD LORD ERICH LUDENDORFF, GERMAN WORLD WAR COMMANDER, DIED IN A CATHOLIC NURSING HOME HERE TODAY AFTER A SEVEN-WEEK ILLNESS. HE WAS 72 YEARS OLD. OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHIES PUBLISHED HERE AND IN BERLIN ALLUDED TO JEWS AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, IN PRAISING HIS EFFORTS “IN THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE CONSTANT ENEMIES OF GERMANISM.” IN POST-WAR YEARS HE HAD ACTIVELY PREACHED ANTI-JEWISH AND ANTI-CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES.
