THE REICH GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT NEW CLOTHING STORES MAY NOT HENCEFORTH BE ESTABLISHED IN BERLIN WITHOUT SPECIAL AUTHORIZATION FROM THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY. JEWISH BUSINESSMEN WILL NOT BE GRANTED SUCH AUTHORIZATION IN ANY CASE. QUALIFIED QUARTERS SAID THE AUTHORITIES TOOK THIS ACTION TO CHECK THE GROWING TENDENCY OF THIS INDUSTRY TO ESTABLISH STORES IN THE CAPITAL.
