Five Jews interned in the Acre concentration camp, including Eri Jabotinsky, son of Vladimir Jabotinsky, and Moshe Ginsburg, were released today.
A British constable was slightly wounded when an Arab band attacked a police patrol near the village of Ikrit in the Acre district. The Lydda airport, which was several months ago seriously damaged by fire set by Arabs, was heavily fired on. Guards repelled the attack, with no casualties reported.
Feb. 28 has been set for the appeal from the Haifa Criminal assizes court sentence of death passed Jan. 28 on Mordechai Schwartz, a Jewish constable, convicted of fatally shooting an Arab policeman.
George Issa Katimy, an American citizen here on a visit, was released yesterday on $250 bail after being held since Jan. 16 on suspicion of Being implicated in a Jerusalem bombing. Katimy is a Christian Arab.
