An Arab band today halted an Arab bus between Jerusalem and Hebron, compelled the passengers to alight, killed one who offered resistance and stole the rifle and uniform of the ghaffir accompanying the bus. By the time troops arrived at the spot the band had disappeared.

Moshe Shertok, head of the political department of the Jewish Agency, left for a visit of several days in Egypt.
