A fund-raising agreement applicable to welfare fund cities on the basis of 60 per cent for the Joint Distribution Committee and 40 per cent for the United Palestine Appeal, was today announced by Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, J.D.C. campaign chairman, and Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, national Palestine Appeal campaign chairman. The announcement explained that “while continuing their separate fund-raising organizations and appeals,” the two organizations have arranged to give the agreement practical effect.
