Representatives of Venezuela and Santo Domingo today reported possibilities for agricultural settlement in their countries to the International Labor Office conference of experts from 15 nations to promote colonization in Latin America.
The Venezuelan representative said that an area of more than 30,000 square kilometers, suitable for settlement of Europeans, was available. The Dominican delegate said his country could throw open 35,000 hectares.
