Karl Fritsche, 48-year-old native of Berlin, was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment by the Saarbruecken Correctional Court today for “repeated crimes” against the Nazi racial laws. Fritsche, the court charged, had intimate relations since last Autumn with a Jewish governess he had brought into his home. The convicted man, a widower, was denounced by his own son and fled with the governess. Both were arrested at the Franco-German frontier.
The Jewish woman will be brought before the court shortly for attempted illegal exportation of currency. Police found 70 marks on her person as she sought to gain French territory.
