Reichs Minister of Economics Walter Funk has issued a decree temporarily prohibiting any transfer of money by Jews emigrating from Germany. Exceptions are provided for foreign Jews and for Jews whose property does not exceed 5,000 marks. The purpose of the measure is to prevent Jews from avoiding the terms of Field Marshal Hermann Goering’s decree for registration of Jewish property by June 30.
