Weizmann to Represent Palestine at Evian

Palestine will be represented at the Evian refugee conference by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, it was announced here by Dr. Stephen S. Wise. “I was pressed by London, Jerusalem and Geneva to present the Jewish case in Evian,” Dr. Wise said. “I am glad to state that I am of the hope that Palestine will be represented at Evan — upon my urging and with the agreement of the president’s Committee on Political refugees — by the man best qualified to present the claims of Palestine to the intergovernmental conference, including Great Britain, namely the president of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, the president of the world Zionist Organization. He, we may be sure, will make another historic statement such as he made in his inaugural word before members of the Peel Commission.”
