Tribute to the public services rendered by Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz was paid last night at a dinner celebrating his silver jubilee as spiritual leader of Great Britain’s Jewry. Lionel de Rothschild, prominent communal worker, presented him with a silver medal. Other speakers included Commander Oliver Locker-Lampson, Conservative M.P., Sir George Jones, and Prof. Selig Brodetsky, Zionist leader.
