The Nazi index purgatorius for Jewish business was brought a step closer to reality with the publication by the Ministry of Interior of administrative details for compilation of the complete list of Jewish-influenced enterprises. Entries in the lists, which will be permanently available for public inspection, must state clearly the ownership and type of business.

Enterprises with partners of “mixed blood” do not need to list themselves unless the “mixed blood” is dominantly controlling in the firms. “Aryanized” firms which were sold out before april 26 must also be entered wherever it is suspected that the former owner is still financially interested. A two weeks period is granted for filing of objections before definite listing, which, it is believed, will be used by the ministry to review cases of foreign Jewish-owned enterprises, which, according to the original law, are not to be registered, except with the minister’s express consent.
