Published reports that Angola, Portuguese colony in West Africa, had been offered for possible refugee settlement were denied officially today.

The Department of Colonies said the Government has not altered restrictions on prospective settlers in the colonies and that mass immigration was strictly forbidden.

Only individual cases, the statement declared, will be considered separately, no refugee being permitted to settle in the colonies without having previously fulfilled legal requirements and submitted proof of financial means.
