World Jewry, in its efforts to conquer humanity, has been using the Catholic church as a “front,” Julius Streicher, Germany’s leading anti-Semite asserted today in his violently anti-Jewish newspaper Der Stuermer. A caricature on the front page showed a priest, with a jew hiding behind him, and bore the legend: “He who gives protection to satan can never be considered a servant of god.”

The attack particularly singled out Pope Pius XI for his opposition to Reich and Italian racial theories. The article was headed “The Pope against the Divine Law.”

“There are three fundamental races,” Streicher wrote, “the white, the yellow and the black. The Jewish community is the result of a mixture accomplished during centuries between white, black and yellow men. In their efforts to conquer humanity the Jews have found open protection in the Catholic Church. The pope has adopted the false idea, propagated by the Jew with the aid of Marxists and Freemasons, of equality of races. But the attitude of the Pope is not a surprise for those who know the final aims of Vatican policy.

Der Stuermer announced that a forthcoming issue would be devoted to “war” and would reveal who were the “exciters to war,” and the role of the Jews “in past wars and in the present war excitation.”
