High Commissioner Sir Harold A. MacMichael today received Daniel Auster, acting mayor of Jerusalem since the Arab mayor, Hussein el Khalidi, was exiled last October, warmly thanked him for his services in the mayoralty and assured the Jewish municipal leader that his forthcoming replacement by an Arab under a Government decision did not reflect on him personally.
