The Zionist organ Das Juedische Rundschau publishes an editorial in its current issue appealing to president Roosevelt to accelerate admission to the United States of refugees from Greater Germany. Praising the President for his “better understanding” of the problem, the semi-weekly asks that the immigration laws be amended to permit of a larger quota now, with the admissions to be reduced later when the pressure has been relieved. Pointing out that the present quota is filled until 1940, the editorial contends that 100,000 were allowed to enter yearly to that date there would be no difference if the entire number were admitted at one time.
