A special meeting of the Palestine subcommittee of the Zionist General Council was called for tomorrow in connection with the critical political situation. The Palestine Jewish National Council will meet Wednesday, Thursday, Moshe Shertok, Zionist political chief, and Isaac Ben-Zvi, president of the National Council, are expected to fly to London to attend the full Zionist General Council session early in November.

A conference of American citizens and investors in Palestine will be held on Oct. 18 to discuss the political situation.

A special issue of the official Palestine Gazette announced that passports and visas are necessary to enter Transjordan, the british-mandated territory neighboring Palestine. This is the first time such a requirement has been imposed on Palestinians.
