The Times reported from Praha today that there were “distinct signs of a growing national and even racial consciousness inside diminished Czechoslovakia.” Some Czech newspapers, the correspondent declared, are proclaiming the slogan, “Ourselves Alone,” while others suggest that people “keep away from German and Jewish shops.” A delegation of Czech doctors has urged the government not to grant facilities to incoming Jews. An anti-Jewish “scuffle” was reported in Zhilfny.
