Dr. Cecil Roth, well-known historian and journalist, today notified the Academia Colombaria of Florence and the Royal Historical Society of Venice that he is resigning his honorary and corresponding memberships in those societies because of Italy’s anti-Jewish policy. The memberships had been granted Dr. Roth in recognition of historical studies.
