A bitter attack on the proposal for settlement of 5,000 Jews in Canada as farmers was made today by Le Devoir, French-language daily which is an important organ of opinion and has the Government’s ear, in a signed front-page editorial. The paper based its attack on the ground that Jews were not farmers.
