Czechoslovakia will “solve the Jewish problem,” but “will not be hostile to Jews who have long lived in its territory” and who understand the necessities of the State, Premier Rudolf Beran said today in a declaration of policy to the chamber of Deputies. A supreme Economic Council will be established to advise the Government, the acts of which will be controlled by a permanent parliamentary commission, he announced.
