A 30 per cent decline in exports of Polish timber was reported to Parliament today as directly attributable to persecution of Jews in Danzig. An official of the Ministry of Agriculture declared the Nazi-controlled Free City had forced liquidation of a number of Jewish concerns engaged in the timber business, with “catastrophic results” to Polish exports.
