Linking Fascism and Communism as “cold blooded twins,” ideologically descended from the “perfect Prussian State of Hegel,” James Marshall, president of the New York City Board of Education, writes of the technique of sovereignty and of political processes from earliest times in a new book, “Swords and Symbols,” announced for publication on April 20 by the Oxford University Press. Marshall is the son of the late Louis Marshall, Jewish communal leader.
