Anti-defamatory Bill Introduced in Dutch Parliament

An anti-defamation bill which would protect Jews and other sections of the population from press incitement has been introduced in the Lower House today by Minister of Justice O.M. Goseling. Existing regulations would be made more stringent by the bill, which provides for a maximum penalty of two years’ imprisonment as well as suspension for six months of publications containing such attacks.
