British Ministers Discuss Palestine Decision

Key members of the British Government met this morning to consider the proposals for settlement of the Palestine problem. Present at the meeting were Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer Sir John Simon, Colonial Secretary Malcolm MacDonald, Foreign Secretary Viscount Halifax, the Marquess of Zetland, Secretary for India; Home Secretary Sir Samuel Hoare and Walter Elliot, Minister of Health.

It was understood that suggestions adopted at the recent Cairo conversations were discussed.
