Eisner Heads Laymen’s Body to Promote Jewish Education

The American Association for Jewish Education, Organized yesterday by a conference of 45 lay leaders of Jewish education in the principal cities of the United States, headed by Mark Eisner, vice-president of the Jewish Education Association of New York City. Other officers are Judge Louis E. Levinthal, Philadelphia, Charles E. Rosenbloom, Pittsburgh, and Nathan Friedman, Boston, vice-presidents; Bernard Semel, New York, honorary secretary; Harry H. Liebovitz, New York, treasurer, and Israel S. Chipkin, New York, secretary. Other cities represented were Baltimore, Newark, Washington Cleveland and Cincinnati.
