Trial of Henri Jeanson, well-known writer, opened here today on charges of inciting to provocative acts arising from a magazine article in which he justified the assassination last November of a German Embassy official here by Herschel Grynszpan, 17-year-old Polish Jew. Jeanson said the act was justified because of Germany’s torture of the Jews. A verdict is expected to be handed down next week.
