The Labor Party’s motion to censure the Colonial Office for decreeing a six-month ban on Jewish immigration to Palestine was defeated tonight by the narrow margin of 69 votes, a reduction of 20 votes in the majority it obtained in the May 23 debate on the White Paper. The vote was 188 to 119.
