An editorial praising B’nai B’rith’s stand on alien “isms” has been published in Hearst newspapers throughout the country. The editorial quotes an address made at a Detroit B’nai B’rith convention by President Henry Monsky, in which he said: “No Jew true to his faith, to his traditions and to his history will ever subscribe to any program calculated to create friction or division between the various groups of our great American citizenship. B’nai B’rith, as most other major national Jewish organizations, has repeatedly declared against, condemned and carried on the fight against and opposition to all political ideologies such as Communism, Fascism and Nazism, any statements made to the contrary notwithstanding.” The N.Y. Journal-American declared that “no more vigorous pronouncement” against the alien “isms” has been made by an official Jewish body.
