There is no reason why Poland should “recompense” the Jews because they are allies of the Government, declared the semi-official Polish newspaper Gazeta Polska, in an editorial quoted in dispatches from Warsaw. The paper said.
“We emphasize that Poland is essentially hostile to all form of racialism and pogroms against Jews. However, although the hatred of the Jewish masses against Hitler is of some Value for us at the present, we are not sure that it will be so for the future. If the Jews are now in the same camp with us, we can regard them as allies, but there is no reason why we should recompense them for that.”
