An overwhelming majority of Britons polled by the British Institute of Public Opinion believe that Great Britain should admit refugees, it was revealed today by the News-Chronicle. The vote on the issue was 70 per cent for admission, 26 per cent against and four per cent undecided.
Eighty-four per cent of those who voted for admission of refugees favored restrictions on their entry designed to safeguard British workers. Fifteen per cent thought that entry should be allowed free of all restrictions. One per cent were undecided.
