Pope Pius held a long private audience with Prof. Giorgio del Vecchio, ousted Jewish rector of Rome University, during which the Pontiff was understood to have show keen interest in the anti-Semitic problem, on which he asked detailed information, according to a New York Times dispatch form Rome yesterday. The audience occurred prior to the Pontiff’s departure for Castel Gandolfo.
