A Genoese Jewish war veteran who was blinded in action has returned his two silver medals to Premier Benito Mussolini, it was learned today, with the following message: “I am returning your medals. Please give me back my eyes.” The veteran’s action was taken in protest against Italian anti-Semitic laws.
